JOB DESCRIPTION
Coordinating clinical services, training new clinicians, and supervising the clinical staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develop person-centered, strength-based treatment plans. • Coordinate care with other staff members and community agencies.
- Provide psychoeducation to individuals, and groups.
- Assist individuals and families in understanding and choosing options of mental
health treatment.
- Initiate and conduct individual, and group therapy sessions.
Perform specialized tasks, including involuntary hospitalization procedures (5150)
and Tarasoff assessments.
- Prepare reports and compose correspondence.
- Act as a casework consultant to other clinical therapists and other departmental staff.
- Coordinate clinical decisions in response to operational demands.
- Perform crisis intervention during scheduled work hours and on-call.
- Conduct clinical and quality improvement chart audits.
Monitor fidelity and provide clinical supervision and coaching for evidence-based
treatment models.
- Provide guidance to clinical and other staff.
· Plan, assign, and direct the work of a unit of professionally trained intake team.
· Evaluate the effectiveness of policies and procedures.
· Represent the agency at conferences and address concerns raised by groups relative to assigned areas of responsibility; may represent the agency on matters relating to the service aspects of programs.
· Evaluate the performance of subordinates and take or recommend appropriate courses of action.
· May direct and prepare research studies and reports.
· Frequently conduct field visits, attend meetings and trainings away from the home office.
· Depending on assignment, may conduct visits to out-stationed minors at remote locations.
· Being available after hours to provide support and guidance to the intake team.
· Data entry of complex and lengthy narratives into a client complaint database.
· Maintain quick response time to heavy email volume
· Other duties as assigned.
