We are currently hiring for two positions: A Maintenance Technician and a Lead Maintenance Technician.

SUMMARY

  • Positive attitude and dependable work ethic that can multitask
  • Morning routine of picking up grounds, curb appeal and general preventative maintenance.
  • Fill doggy stations, clean common areas such as pool, fitness center, organize shop, etc.
  • Diagnose and repair and/or replace HVAC systems, appliances, water heaters, electrical and more as needed (if applicable and certified).
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform quality and timely minor/routine repairs and maintenance in units and throughout property in a safe manner- mainly small appliances, small plumbing and minor hvac
  • Complete items on Service Requests for units and property at the Apartment Community.
  • Complete items listed on Make-Ready Checklist; including painting, appliance repairs, lock change, rekeys, and drywall repairs.
  • Handle Emergency After Hour Calls on a rotational basis at their primary property and properties in their region within 20 miles from their primary property- this is in rotation and NOT every week (OT available).
  • Perform purchasing and inventory control of supplies and parts/Vendor relations
  • EPA (HVAC) and CPO (pool) certified preferably, successfully operating on-site equipment for repairs.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

High school graduate or trade school required + At least one year of general maintenance experience.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Work Schedule: Hours of work are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (or as mandated by your Regional)- with rotating on-call schedule.

Must be on call 24 hours per day, when scheduled on rotation, for emergencies. Must have a working phone and be able to accommodate after-hour and weekend emergencies. Consumption of alcoholic beverages or being under the influence when scheduled for on-call is prohibited.

Tools: Must provide own basic tools or be willing to obtain required hand tools over time. Maintain complete responsibility for personal tools. Suggested tools include: hammer; pocket thermometer; channel-lock pliers; set of nut drivers; wrenches; tubing cutters; voltage tester; ohm meter or combination tester; amp meter; wire-crimping tool with wire cutters; razor knife; flashlight; battery-operated or power drill; set of Allen wrenches; set of Phillips screwdrivers; set of straight screwdrivers; set of needle-nose pliers; set of socket wrenches with ratchet

Transportation: Must have dependable vehicle to transport tools and equipment to job sites. Must provide proof of liability insurance. Must have valid driver’s license.

Location: Team member will have designated 'home' location on site but may be subjected to floating around locally to be team player at sister-sites as needed.

Drug-Screening: Successfully pass a drug-screening test.
