Position Overview

Essential Job Functions

Perform daily tasks associated with food production machine operations for Fresh & Ready Foods.

Ensure machines are set up properly, working well, and producing quality products. Responsible for ensuring machines are working at full capacity, are stocked with needed materials, well-maintained and perform periodic checks on output. Adheres to high quality, quantity, and sanitation standards. Ensure a high level of quality on all food items by following instructions from supervisors, managers and production reports. Work effectively with production team to ensure that all daily, weekly and monthly production goals are met.

 

Responsibilities

  • Set up machines at the beginning of work shift to ensure proper working order;
  • Perform testing procedures to ensure that machines work optimally during the production procedures;
  • Maintain and clean machines before and after each work shift;
  • Monitor machines during every procedure to ensure optimum running;
  • Troubleshoot problems during machine operation;
  • Ensure that regular and preventative maintenance procedures are performed and recorded;
  • Perform random tests to ensure accuracy;
  • Perform safety checks on every machine;
  • Ensure that machines are producing quality products by managing periodic checks on output;
  • Ensure stocks of needed materials are ready and available at all times;
  • Create and maintain activity logs as instructed by supervisors, managers, and productions reports;
  • Follow employee safety standards by adhering to both environmental and Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) regulations;
  • Monitor quality and quantity of food items,
  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP),
  • Adhere of all company policies, procedures, and standards,
  • May work in other food production areas and units on occasion
  • Ensure work area is kept clean at all times,
  • Identify opportunities and find solutions for continuous improvement; and
  • Other duties as assigned by Line Leaders, Supervisors, and Managers

Requirements

  • Must be bilingual (English / Spanish)
  • Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment, this includes coolers and freezers
  • Must be willing to work flexible schedule and extended hours as needed, including nights and weekends
  • Must be fast, accurate and neat
  • Must have impeccable personal hygiene
  • Must be able to lift weights up to 50 -- 60 lbs.

Special Assignments

  • Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management and executive team.

Shift

  • 11:00am - 7:30pm
