Press Operator, Litho

SHIFT:, 

6:00am - 6:00pm, rotating

6:00pm - 6:00am, rotating

Position Summary:

· Reads instructions for job ticket and sets the press up or directs set-up of press based on instructions.

· Responsible for make-ready/set-up of screen press to ensure proper machine set-up, registration, ink viscosity, color, to include mixing colors, and print quality.

· Establishes optimum speed, registration, and print quality according to standards.

· Runs, adjusts, and troubleshoots production jobs on the screen press.

· Performs preventative maintenance.

· Maintains and provides productions logs and reports, as necessary.

· Accounts for labor and materials consumed through accurate data collection.

· Assists management in the training of production personnel.

· Assists management with ink inventory.

· Assists in general cleaning up and keeping the work area neat and orderly.

· Assists in the disposal of garbage and recycling bins in the screen press area.

· Deals with customer and clients in a professional and polite manner as needed.

· May need to perform prepress tasks such as screen prep, block out, imaging screens as needed.

· Works overtime as needed.

· Other duties as assigned.

 

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

· Occasional climbing onto press.

· Occasional reaching, bending, and stooping.

· Frequent Standing for prolonged periods of time.
