Job Title:  CNC Maintenance Technician and General Building Maintenance

FLSA Status:  Hourly

Reports to:  Production Supervisor or Operations Manager

Summary of Job:

Repair, adjust and maintain all types of machinery and mechanical equipment, including delicate mechanical instruments. Uses precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, squares, gage blocks, indicators, etc. Diagnose, service and adjust all types of machine tools and automation (including robots) required to manufacture transmission components, primarily PLC/CNC based.

Must be able to troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems, making the proper corresponding repairs.

Works within the management completing work orders, documenting work performed, and requisitioning parts.

Must have a thorough knowledge of machine construction, functions and methods of repair and adjustment. Experience maintaining and repairing CNC machine tools.

This position reports to the Production Manager of Precision Machining. Additionally, this position may include weekend responsibilities. 

Key Results & Duties:

  1. Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
  2. Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools, power tools, and reassemble equipment.
  3. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
  4. Assist in resolving problems, delays, and difficulties. Notify Supervisor if problems arise.
  5. Provide technical assistance on new or existing equipment.
  6. Troubleshoot machine tools and repair as needed. Qualify equipment for production run.             

Basic Qualifications:

Must have experience in the following job skills:

·         High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. 

·         3+ years of related experience of repairing CNC machines.

·         Experience with chip cutting machine.

·         Electrical and mechanical repairs experience.
