As a JavaScript Developer at Core Sound Imaging, you will collaborate with members of our development team to create and implement features for our web-based medical imaging service, Studycast. The ideal candidate will be creative, excel at solving problems, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, small team environment.

Some things you should be good at to enjoy this position:

  • Work as a member of the development team.
  • Analyze requirements to develop implementation approaches.
  • Write tested and documented JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
  • Cooperate with the back-end developer in the process of building the RESTful API.

Some things we will look for in an applicant:

  • 5+ years experience in JavaScript development
  • Expertise in JavaScript (ES5 and ES6/ES2015) and jQuery is required
  • Strong HTML5, CSS3 skills are required
  • Experience using backbone and handlebars and ReactJS is a plus
  • Backend is MySQL and PHP, knowledge of these is a plus
  • Application and API development in PHP (5+ years)
  • DICOM standard and image processing knowledge (HTML5 Canvas) is a plus
  • Expertise in cross-platform and cross-browser development
  • Self-starter with positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Able to handle stress, including short deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
