We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to become a part of our team You will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of a healthcare team. We are seeking an independent and motivated PMHNP for inpatient psychiatry with an established MD who is skilled at supervision with NPs.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses
- Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
- Perform comprehensive mental status examinations of patients
- Effectively chart patient assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries
- Ability to work in conjunction with collaborating psychiatrist
- Communicate with collaborating psychiatrist regarding patient care
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in psychiatric inpatients preferred
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Qualities of independence, life-long learning, and collaboration
