Tru-Turf is a globally recognized leader in the golf and sports turf industry. The brand is synonymous with delivering rolling perfection on golf greens around the world and provides industry-leading innovation for fine turf grass management.

 

TT Manufacturing is the exclusive wholesale distributor of Tru-Turf Golf Green Rollers and parts in the US and provides warehouse, inventory and assembly management services to the Australian based Tru-Turf Pty Ltd.

 

The Staff Accountant II is responsible for ensuring that orders, invoicing, purchasing and business accounts are actioned, updated and recorded in a timely manner, as well as maintaining accurate general ledger and inventory systems. The primary role for this position is accurate recording of financial transactions and financial reporting thereon.


The Staff Accountant II who will be located in Gastonia and employed by TT Manufacturing LLC, works in conjunction with the finance team located in Gastonia and Australia, while reporting to the Global Finance and Administration Manager (based in Australia). Duties will include providing support to TT Manufacturing’s US Operations Manager. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools like, MS Excel, Word, Xero and Dear.

 

Duties

  • Process invoices and bills, data entry through to timely payment / receipt.
  • Bank recs
  • Sales tax
  • Journal entries
  • Payroll and medical
  • Maintain an accurate General Ledger, and reconciliation thereof.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory system, including stock takes and review of stock adjustments.
  • Preparation of regularly scheduled reports for review, including but not limited to monthly and annual Balance Sheet, P and L and cashflow.
  • Maintain a digital filing system
  • Maintain effective communication with internal teams, external vendors, and customers regarding financial matters. Provide general support to TT Manufacturing and Tru-Turf team members.

· Coordinates a prompt, efficient and timely flow of paperwork. Assist with data and records related to shipping and receiving activities.

· Adheres to safety requirements

· Other duties as assigned, including assistance in tax preparation.

Requirements

 

  • 4 year Accounting Degree
  • At least 3 years proven experience as a Staff Accountant
  • Experience in Accounts Payable and Receivable.
  • Experience in General Journals and general ledger reconciliation
  • Experience in Sales Tax
  • Experience in Financial Statement preparation and Cashflow.
  • Experience in Payroll.
  • Experience in warehouse, inventory management, and manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with foreign exchange.
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, in particular), as well as accounting software. The business uses Xero for accounting and DEAR for inventory management.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
