Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our team on a part-time, fully remote basis. The ideal candidate will excel in both written and verbal communication, effectively assisting patients throughout the billing process.
Responsibilities:
- Generate Revenue: Make payment arrangements, collect accounts, and monitor and pursue delinquent accounts.
- Collect Delinquent Accounts: Establish payment arrangements with patients, monitor payments, and follow up with patients when payment lapses occur.
- Utilize Collection Agencies: Evaluate and select collection agencies, determine the appropriateness of pursuing legal remedies, and testify in court cases when necessary.
- Maintain Medicare Bad-Debt Cost Report: Ensure accurate and timely reporting of Medicare bad debts.
- Secure Outstanding Balance Payments: Manage outstanding balance payments for employee care.
Requirements and Skills:
- Proven work experience as a Medical Biller or similar role.
- Solid understanding of billing software and electronic medical records.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding problem-solving and organizational abilities.
Preferred:
- Experience with Medicare and 1st Coast billing.
- A Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, accounting, or related field is preferred.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance policies.
