Project Description

•New build data center environment in Chandler, Arizona. Working as a member of a project team, the Technician is primarily responsible for enhancing over-all job site productivity and ensuring high-quality work

•The Technician will work with multiple aspects of the cable installation process including OSP, ISP, rack, stack, patch, pathway construction, rough-in, routing, Telecommunication Room build-out, cable terminations, labeling, and grounding

•Installation of structured cabling systems including all aspects of the installation process: OSP, ISP, Rack, Stack, Patch, Fusion Splicing, Testing

•Reads and interprets all floor plans, drawings, specifications, and cut sheets

•Performs system testing and troubleshooting as required

•Terminates, labels, tests and troubleshoots optical fiber and copper installations

•Proactively oversee and lead job site organization and basic housekeeping maintenance

•Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor

•Maintain satisfactory compliance with customer security requirements

•While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, use hands, stoop, kneel, bend, rotate, push, pull, reach with hands and arms on intermittent to regular basis daily

•There could be a requirement of occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required

Background Knowledge:

  • Knows termination color codes
  • Construction background
  • Military background
  • Worked in commercial cabling environment
  • Fiber experience
  • Datacenter experience
  • Labor background
  • Must have basic tools and steel toed/ composite boots

Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Positive attitude/ Strong work ethic 
  • Seeking company growth 
  • Willing to consent to a background check
  • Ability to pass a drug screen
  • Need OSHA 10 before start

Positions Available:

  • Entry Level/ Tech 1 (0-1 year experience): $18-20
  • Tech 2 (1-2 years' experience- must know color codes and terminations): $20-23
  • Tech 3 (2-4 years' experience in low voltage): $23-25

Additional:

  • Option to enroll in 401k, Medical, Dental, Vision
  • Project is located in Chandler, Arizona
  • Hours: 6am start. 60 hour weeks (expect over time)
