The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, be proficient in accounting software and MS Excel, and have a solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Requirements:


Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, revenue and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
  • Assist with the annual audit process by providing supporting documentation.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
  • Assist with special projects and ad hoc reporting as needed.

Education and Skills:
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Experience in a multi-unit restaurant, retail or multi-site consumer business preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct) and Microsoft Office (Excel and Word.)
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
