Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are a locally-owned Milford, MI area site contractor currently seeking heavy equipment mechanic to join our maintenance team. Most of our heavy equipment is Caterpillar

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, rebuild, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems of heavy operating equipment.
  • Perform maintenance and repair on heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, and tools while using a high degree of independent judgement.
  • Accurately order needed parts from vendors.
  • Perform inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Prepares and maintains records and reports.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction or heavy equipment and advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams.
  • Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience
  • CDL Class A license required
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Flexibility of working hours and location (shop and field repairs)
  • Reliable transportation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be a team player with a professional attitude
  • Competencies: Technical Capacity, Time Management, Thoroughness, Problem Solving/Analysis, Discretion.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour Health insurance

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week

Drug screen and background check are required
