We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Quick Hire Staffing. As a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on medium/heavy duty trucks, on/off road equipment, and related component parts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and safety problems on heavy duty vehicles and equipment.
- Repair or replace faulty parts, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components.
- Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Stay up-to-date with continual education and new technology.
Requirements:
- State of Michigan Class "B" commercial driver's license (with B endorsement) is preferred.
- Must be State certified in 2 or more of the following: HD Engine Repair, HD Braking Systems, HD Suspension & Steering Systems, HD Electrical Systems.
- Possess small and large hand tools, rolling tool storage, and power/air tools necessary to perform all assigned work.
Working Environment:
The Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic will work in a fast-paced environment, performing tasks in various weather conditions and on weekends. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively with customers and vendors, and possess excellent communication skills.
