Key Areas of Responsibility:

The Salesforce & Member Database Journey Specialist plays a pivotal role in optimizing the organization’s member management and engagement strategies. This position expertly leverages Salesforce Marketing & Sales Cloud to maintain accurate member data, design and implement global automated member journeys, and generates insightful reports to drive data-driven decision-making. This specialist will collaborate cross-functionally to streamline processes, enhance member experiences, and identify opportunities to personalize communication and outreach efforts in ways that boost member satisfaction and retention.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Salesforce Administration

  • Maintain and update Salesforce objects, fields, layouts, and configurations to ensure optimal data integrity.
  • Design and build custom reports and dashboards to support analysis and decision-making.
  • Manage user profiles, permissions, and access levels for Salesforce security.
  • Troubleshoot Salesforce issues, work with support when needed, and provide end-user training.

Member Data Management

  • Oversee member database integrity, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Implement and enforce data quality standards, identifying and correcting data discrepancies.
  • Define and implement processes for member data import, export, and cleansing.

Journey Design and Automation

  • Design and build automated member journeys in Salesforce (e.g., welcome series, renewals, event promotions, engagement campaigns) that nurture relationships.
  • Utilize salesforce tools (e.g., Journey Builder, Marketing Cloud) to create targeted and personalized communication strategies.
  • Segment member data for effective audience targeting and messaging.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop comprehensive reports and dashboards to track key metrics such as member acquisition, retention, and engagement.
  • Monitor journey performance and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Extract data insights that inform strategic decision-making for membership growth and improved experiences.

Collaboration & Best Practices

  • Collaborate with membership, marketing, and other teams to align Salesforce initiatives with departmental goals.
  • Stay current on Salesforce best practices, new releases, and relevant technologies to maximize platform effectiveness.
  • Document processes and workflows to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, computer science, or a related field.
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification (preferred)
  • Other Salesforce certifications (Marketing cloud, Sales Cloud, etc) are a plus.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in digital marketing, marketing automation, or a similar technology-focused role.
  • Experience managing marketing technology systems (marketing automation platforms, CRMs, & analytics software).
  • Excellent writing, reporting, proofreading, and editing skills, including strong knowledge of AP Style.
  • Proficient in the use of marketing automation platforms and the ability to extract and interpret data from analytics tools.
  • In-depth understanding of Salesforce CRM concepts, architecture, and functionality.
  • Knowledge of database management principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation concepts and tools.
  • Understanding of member journey strategies and customer lifecycle management.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce configuration, including object customization, workflow rules, and process automation.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks

ADA Specifications:

This position is located in the Orlando, Florida, headquarters office with occasional domestic travel to attend and participate in select IAAPA events. The position is required to be in office a minimum of 3 days a week with a preference for 4 days a week in office and 1 day remote work.
