Location: 100% Remote, EST or CST candidates only 
 Key Responsibilities

1. Network Development and Maintenance

  • Provider Recruitment: Identify and recruit healthcare providers to join the network, ensuring a comprehensive and high-quality provider network.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with healthcare providers, ensuring favorable terms and competitive rates for the employer and employees.
  • Network Adequacy: Ensure the network meets regulatory requirements and provides sufficient access to care for all members.

2. Relationship Management

  • Provider Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with network providers, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for providers, facilitating effective communication between providers and the plan.

3. Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Data Analysis: Analyze network performance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports on network performance, utilization, and cost metrics to senior management.

4. Strategic Planning

  • Network Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to optimize the provider network, improve access to care, and control costs.
  • Innovative Solutions: Explore and implement innovative solutions to enhance network performance and member satisfaction.

5. Compliance and Risk Management

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the network complies with all relevant laws and regulations, including ACA, ERISA, and state-specific requirements.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and address potential risks related to network management and provider relations.

6. Collaboration and Leadership

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as claims, customer service, and legal, to ensure coordinated efforts and effective plan management.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of network management professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in network management within the health insurance industry, with a focus on self-funded plans.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing favorable provider contracts.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship management skills.
  • Experience with provider network software and tools.
  • Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) or Certified Healthcare Network Professional (CHNP) certification is a plus.
