This role involves performing complex work to support our information technology applications through planning, designing, implementing, maintaining, and providing ongoing optimization and support. The ideal candidate will provide frontline support to end users by analyzing and diagnosing problems and determining solutions with EPIC's scheduling system. This position may involve leading lower-level staff.

Population Specific Care: No direct patient care.
Essential Functions:
- Analyze and diagnose complex system problems, identify root causes, and resolve issues or escalate as needed.
- Plan, design, implement, maintain, and provide ongoing support for applications.
- Gather, validate, and translate complex technological requirements into design and development specifications.
- Collaborate with system users and IT professionals to evaluate, plan, design, develop, test, implement, and maintain systems.
- Address highly technical issues during installation and maintenance activities.
- Complete or coordinate preparation, coding, testing, and debugging of complex programs.
- Analyze, design, and build workflows to meet user needs.
- Configure and integrate hardware with software products to meet client specifications.
- Gather and analyze information to resolve incidents and troubleshoot problems, documenting the process.
- Document design, application, and technical specifications; create support and training documents as needed.
- Identify and clarify reporting needs with end users, working with report developers to meet these needs.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in the underlying data structure to assist report developers.
- Partner with vendors to troubleshoot and resolve system problems, improve performance and usability.
- Provide vendors with recommendations for system improvements.
- Review documentation for upgrades and system updates, evaluating changes and impacts with analysts and end users.
- Support end users, primarily providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 support.
- Mentor team members in technical and customer support skills development.
- Act as a project lead for complex projects, simplifying workflows as needed.
- Assume on-call responsibilities as required.
Scope and Level:
- Guidelines: Apply broad knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures within a specific field of specialization.
- Complexity: Perform broad and complex tasks requiring advanced knowledge and independent judgment.
- Decision Making: Make decisions with latitude, using independent judgment and ingenuity. Escalate complex decisions as necessary.
- Communication: Exchange, defend, gather, and present information with discretion and independent judgment.
- Supervision Received: Work under limited supervision with a high degree of independence, conferring with supervisors on unusual matters. May assist lower-level employees.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
- Equivalency: Combination of post-high school education, job-related certification, and/or related experience equivalent to nine (9) years may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements.

- Licensure: None required.
