Reports To 

The Behavior Technician will report to the BCBA/Clinical Supervisor and the Clinical Director. 

 

Job Overview 

Behavior Technicians are responsible for implementing ABA-based lessons and behavior plans laid out by Clinical Supervisor. This includes both individual and group-based treatment across center, community, home, and school locations. In order to provide clinical and professional development to Behavior Technicians, administrative and clinical training is offered on a monthly basis and attendance is required.  

 

Responsibilities and Duties 

  • Providing high-quality direct ABA treatment to clients/students 

  • Behavior Technicians must never leave a learner alone 

  • Behavior Technicians must engage with the learner 100% of the time 

  • The goal for learning units will range from 50-100 per hour, depending on the learner’s program 

  • Behavior Technicians will always keep the client safe 

  • Behavior Technicians will communicate with the managing BCBA around all concerns and questions regarding the learner’s program 

  • Take detailed qualitative notes on behaviors and treatment goals in accordance with BACB and insurance standards 

  • Notes should be: Clear, detailed, and objective 

  • Session notes length: 1 paragraph per treatment hour 

  • Must include how the learner responded to treatment, what goals were addressed, behavior observed, what was successful and any notes that would be helpful to include regarding the learner’s progress 

  • Manually record all hours worked and distinguish between supervised and unsupervised time in accordance with BACB standards 

  • Additionally, all sessions must be converted at the end of every session 

  • Participate in and attend monthly staff meetings and 100% of clinical training 

  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the facility and other responsibilities necessary for the day-to-day operations of Learning and Behavioral Center, Inc 

  • It is expected that Behavior Technicians clean up after themselves and prompt their learners to do the same.  

Qualifications 

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent 

  • Experience with individuals with disabilities preferred 

  • Must be able to accept feedback from a Clinical Supervisor 

  • Flexible  

  • Willingness to learn and grow
