Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team This person performs basic food preparation tasks and assisting the Head Cook. They typically complete smaller responsibilities like cutting meat, mixing sauces, chopping vegetables, etc. Theyre responsible for cleaning their prep station and making sure its set up properly before the start of their shift. Theyll also stock the kitchen as needed. Line Cooks must regularly check the food prep and storage areas to ensure they dont violate any health codes or safety regulations

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Set up the kitchen with necessary tools and equipment
  • Prepare food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers, and snacks
  • Plate prepared foods based on Senior Chefs guidance
  • Maintain appropriate levels of inventory and restock when necessary
  • Follow all food safety regulations
  • Participate in daily kitchen opening and closing procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the head chef or management
  • Ensure that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
  • ServeSafe or Food Handlers Certification
  • Completion of vocational school or a two year associate degree
  • Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and recipes
  • Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 pounds
