Pay Range: $45/hr-$53/hr on W2 (DOE)

Overview

The QA Lead will be a key member of an agile development product team and will work closely with a diverse group of cross-functional partners to deliver digital capabilities and outstanding customer experiences across mobile, online, stores, and 3rd party solutions.

This role will mentor QA Analysts, define test approaches, and provide tracking and visibility into test progress throughout development sprints. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader in QA who enjoys working collaboratively with all disciplines, fosters teamwork, and builds trust with leadership and developers alike.

Responsibilities: 

  • Create, execute, and maintains all manual and automated test plans, test cases, and validation procedures
  • Ensures all stories are mapped and traceable to tests within a sprint to ensure adequate test coverage throughout the development lifecycle
  • Develop an automated Regression Test Library and an approach to use it for testing ongoing changes to the digital products
  • Set up and maintain testing metrics to show the overall progress of testing efforts for each sprint, requirement coverage, and opened/closed defects
  • Report on the progress of the overall test prep/execution to leadership
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for questions/direction for the Development Scrum Team
  • Collaborate with QA analysts to flush out test cases following requirement grooming and 3 amigo sessions
  • Contribute feedback and QA estimation sizing each sprint
  • Own the identification and escalation of any issues or risks within the testing workstream
  • Lead defect review meetings with the product team to determine prioritization
  • Determine when the product team can proceed to final User Acceptance Testing
  • Participate in all team scrum activities
  • Collaborate with other product team QA Leads to unlock dependencies and leverage shared test data, systems, services
  • Lead continuous testing improvement focusing on platform processes and QA best practices.
  • Assess & Identify test cases candidates for Test Automation
  • Contribute to building complex automated tests leveraging Java Syntax to support repetitive steps, changing variables, etc
  • Recruit, train and manage QA Analysts; with accountability for implementing and maintaining platform testing standards
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4 years as a QA Lead or equivalent Leadership role managing analysts that deliver testing efforts in either/or manual and automated settings.
  • 3+ years’ experience working with Scrum or Agile teams.
  • 6+ years of QA experience with a focus on eCommerce, user experience, and website testing.
  • Experience with facilitating all phases of testing (integration, regression, system, UAT).
  • Experience with third-party applications, including but not limited to, Jira, Confluence, TestRail, or other test management tools (e.g. ALM, Quality Center, TFS, VSTS).
  • Expert in the testing process, including test scope identification, test requirements management, test case development, test scheduling, and defect management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with IT and Business audiences.
  • Proven success delivering day-to-day assignments with a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Ability to Independently develop key deliverables without supervisor oversight.
  • Ability to influence others without authority to drive decision-making and solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in building and/or leading automated solutions leveraging automation languages or low code solutions
  • Working knowledge/experience in Java Syntax
  • General business and financial acumen
  • Experience with fast-paced direct retail and/or e-commerce, or consulting environments
  • High curiosity, problem-solving, and learning orientation
  • Diverse work experience and background
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience
