Hino Motors Manufacturing is an OEM that assembles trucks in West Virginia, automotive components in Arkansas, and operates a parts distribution center in California.

We are currently seeking a System Administration Specialist, Production Planning & Control for our Corporate Office located in Novi, Michigan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage computer system that connects Hino Motor Sales (HMS) orders to production. (PCS: Vehicle specification information / BOM / Vehicle history)
  • System improvement according to the vehicle project changes.
  • Analyze system error and take necessary action.
  • Communicate with related departments (IT and WV) and Hino Motors, Ltd. (HML) to resolve system issues.
  • Propose system improvement ideas and upgrades.
  • Attend all system related meeting as PPC department representative.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in Computer Science.
  • 0-2 yrs of related experience

Required Skills:

  • Native level Japanese and business level English skills required
  • Expert in the following areas:
    • Bill of material management system
    • Production management system
  • Expert in MS-Excel and MS-Access development.
  • Proven skills in managing applications through their life cycle including application development to application decommission.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of MS-Outlook and MS-PowerPoint required.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and data management skills.
  • Some understanding of vehicle assembly process preferred.
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and fast paced environment.
  • Knowledge of plan-making and project evaluation.
  • Ability to function as a mediator or facilitator of decision-making process.
  • Conversational Japanese ability preferred.

Travel Requirements: Up to 10% of the time.
