Overview: The Fundraiser Coordinator plays a critical role in advancing the mission and goals of The Difference Society by leading all fundraising efforts. This position is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies to secure financial support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and other sources. The Fundraiser Coordinator will work closely with the executive team and board of directors to cultivate relationships, identify funding opportunities, and steward donors.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute annual and long-term fundraising plans aligned with the organization's mission, vision, and strategic priorities.

  2. Donor Cultivation and Stewardship: Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and government agencies. Cultivate donor loyalty through personalized communication, donor recognition programs, and stewardship activities.

  3. Major Gifts and Major Donor Program: Identify, cultivate, and solicit major gifts from high-net-worth individuals and major donors. Develop and implement strategies to engage and steward major donors effectively.

  4. Corporate Partnerships: Identify and cultivate corporate partnerships and sponsorships. Collaborate with businesses to develop mutually beneficial relationships and secure financial support, in-kind donations, and corporate sponsorships for events and programs.

  5. Event Fundraising: Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising events, including galas, dinners, auctions, and community events. Work with staff, volunteers, and vendors to ensure successful event execution and maximum fundraising results.

  6. Direct Mail and Online Fundraising: Oversee direct mail campaigns, online fundraising efforts, and crowdfunding initiatives. Develop compelling fundraising appeals and digital content to engage donors and solicit donations.

  7. Database Management: Oversee donor database management and ensure accurate and up-to-date donor records. Analyze donor data to identify trends, track fundraising progress, and inform strategic decision-making.

  8. Team Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and manage the fundraising team, including development staff, volunteers, and interns. Provide guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to team members to enhance their fundraising skills and effectiveness.

  9. Budgeting and Financial Reporting: Develop and manage the fundraising budget, including revenue projections, expense tracking, and financial reporting. Monitor fundraising performance against goals and objectives and provide regular updates to the executive team and board of directors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, marketing, communications, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, development, or related field, with a proven track record of success in securing major gifts, grants, and corporate sponsorships.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and inspire donors, volunteers, and staff.
  • Excellent writing skills, with experience in grant writing, donor communications, and fundraising appeals.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement comprehensive fundraising plans and strategies.
  • Proficiency in donor database management, fundraising software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
