Job Summary

Assists with the day-to-day activities of the Credit Department.

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with new customer account setup, including reviewing and following up on credit applications, analyzing customer credit profiles, and opening new accounts based on credit limits.
  • Support A/R collection efforts.
  • Prepare for Quarterly Internal A/R Review Meetings.
  • Manage Certificates of Insurance for customers.
  • Research and assist with sales tax-related questions.
  • Assist with the Service Department work order approval process, including reviewing and approving/rejecting credit approval requests.
  • Investigate UCC filings and related lien laws, communicating findings to the Credit Manager.
  • Document various Credit policies, procedures, and internal controls, and assist with Credit-related items for the new ERP system.
  • Perform other recurring duties and ad hoc projects and analysis as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • Five to seven years relevant work experience, with one to two years of credit experience preferred
  • Some exposure to various state tax provisions and lien laws desired
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (in particular Excel) and ability to quickly pick up on role-relevant computer applications and systems.
