Position Summary:

The Powder Coating Supervisor is responsible for successfully promoting and upholding the company’s Core Values (WIN WORK, ACHIEVE RESULTS, BE FULFILLED) with their team and ensuring long-term financial success. Their responsibilities are focused in building a result driven team, improving operational efficiency, and achieving client satisfaction.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure business plan is met, including monthly sales, revenue, and margin objectives.
  • Responsible for accurate job costing, to ensure a clean financial close each month.
  • Ensure that all work meets industry quality standards.
  • Build trust and confidence with potential clients and earn their business.
  • Exceed client expectations and provide complete client satisfaction.
  • Train and coach, the Foreman & employees to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Ensure your team is adequately staffed with the best people in the industry.
  • Responsible for running an accurate daily schedule to ensure work is done on-time, & in an organized manner.
  • Oversee equipment needs and ensure best utilization and care of equipment.
  • Ensures all testing of water storage tanks are completed and all regulations are met.
  • Knowledgeable in the correct operation of all equipment.
  • Ensure that our processes and procedures established with Accounting, Collections, Purchasing, and Inventory are followed and improved.
  • Responsible for ensuring the crew follows safe work practices, and complies with all company, state, and federal safety regulations and policies.
  • Responsible for ensuring the crew’s tools and equipment are secure and maintained in compliance with company standards.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the General Superintendent and General Manager.

Experience, Educational, and Additional Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-years work experience in Powder Coating.
  • Must be able to read and understand plans, specifications, contracts, and directions from architects, engineers, and general contractors.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills required.
  • Must be knowledgeable in all Microsoft Office software, scanners, and printers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Must have knowledge of and ability to operate tools associated with Powder Coating such as a Mil Thickness Gauge.
  • Must be able to effectively gauge and perform adhesion and quality tests.
  • Must have a knowledge of an MEK Rub.
  • OSHA 10 card required.
  • Pass the company’s Driver Approval Process required.
  • Pass mandatory drug test required.
  • Must be able to lift 75lb.
