Corporate Staff Accountant

Location: Remote

Salary: $55-$60k

Reports to: Senior Accountant

Company Overview:

NexFirm is a new way for small law firms to operate. We manage the back office end-to-end, allowing our clients to focus on growing their businesses. Our services include strategy, finance and accounting, IT and telecommunications, HR and benefits, administration, and operations.

 Position Overview:

This is a remote position, and the candidate is expected to work primarily from home. We expect employees to travel to participate in team meetings an average of once per quarter.

Position Summary:

The Corporate Staff Accountant will support the Corporate accounting department with daily accounting tasks, ensuring accurate and timely financial record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Account Management: Maintain and update customer account information, ensuring data accuracy

GL: Enter all expenses into the general ledger and manage the booking of all entries

Accounts Payable and Receivable: Make payments, manage payables and collections

Bank Transactions: Manage accurate records of bank activities

File Maintenance: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and files

Client Service: Handle welcome calls to review billing with new clients

Billing: Handle the billing of all client invoices

Reporting: Generate reporting for management

General Administrative Duties: Perform other administrative duties as required to support the accounting department

 

Qualifications:

 

•                 Associate’s degree in Accounting or Business or related field or three + years of Accounting experience

•                 Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Excel

•                 Excellent written and verbal skills

•                 Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and proven track record

•                 Client-oriented disposition

•                 Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

•                 Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

•                 Ability to work independently and as part of a team
