We have an opening for a full time Security Systems Technician position in the DC Metro area. This Electronic Security System Technician will be responsible for maintenance and installation of the integrated security systems, components, and infrastructure. This position will also be responsible for implementing system updates and upgrades, system backups and disaster recovery processes. The systems to be maintained are Access Control, CCTV, Video Management Software, Intercoms, Alarms, and others.  The desired candidate will be self- motivated and will have the skill set to interface directly with the end customer and factory representatives. Daily duties include morning checks of all systems for errors, inconsistencies, and alarms, check with appointed customer (S) for tasks for that day as well as brief on finding from morning checks. Complete tasks and repairs as required. End of day final checks are made to systems and reported to customers. The general work hours are from 0700-1600 Monday- Friday. There is a requirement for ON-Call status but has minimal in the past years,

 REQUIREMENTS:
- 3 + years previous experience in Integrated Electronic Security Systems

- MUST have a working knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, Intercoms, Intrusion detection, and Network Infrastructure experience at minimum. Preferred Systems FLIR,Vicon, RS2, Pelco, Genetech, Bosch, DMP, DAQ

- MUST have minimal prior IT experience and strong computer skills.

- MUST be a US Citizen and consent to a full background check.

- MUST be eligible to maintain a minim of a Secret Clearance.

- MUST have a valid US Driver’s license as some local travel may be required.

- MUST be able to climb ladders, work from lifts, and work in confined spaces and overheads


DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

- Experience with commercial, government, and industrial security systems.  

- Experience with matrices and video recording technologies.

- Experience evaluating, designing, and implementing electronic security technologies.

- A proven experience in low voltage wiring including code requirements, installations, running conduit, troubleshooting, and working with access control hardware.

- Implementation and Maintenance of Physical Security Systems, to include Intrusion Detection Systems, Access Control and Video Surveillance Systems
