Job Overview

The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is on the lookout for a proficient Systems Administrator to enhance our Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Division, specifically within the Mission Systems Branch (MSB). This position is pivotal for the effective execution of programs for our Department of Defense (DoD) clientele.

The ideal candidate should excel in a dynamic, collaborative setting, demonstrating self-motivation, reliability, and the capacity to initiate tasks independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a subject matter expert, collaborating closely with the customer.
  • Guarantee the smooth integration of all hardware and software components, minimizing potential challenges.
  • Engage daily with representatives from various corporate entities.
  • Participate in software requirements and design analysis, conduct threat and vulnerability assessments, and evaluate secure software architecture.
  • Assist in the installation and configuration of information systems and their components.

Essential Qualifications:
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • A valid DoD security clearance is mandatory.
  • A Bachelor's degree is necessary.
  • Over 10 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Proficiency in Windows OS, including user account management, group policies, Active Directory, and ensuring the security and stability of Windows-based servers.
  • Experience in network administration, including the configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
  • Active involvement in management meetings, discussions, committees, and special projects.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, although travel is not typically expected.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with both internal and external team members.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with product life cycle management and configuration management tools.
  • Knowledge of the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Experience in supporting the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Proficiency in configuring and installing systems hardware and software, along with maintaining server and domain security requirements.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based applications in compliance with security guidelines.
