Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Alarm Technician to join our expanding team You will install, program, repair & service security systems for our customer's in the New York Metropolitan (5 Boroughs) & surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and program alarm and security systems, including: Intrusion, Surveillance & Access Control systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with systems, and escalate the priority when necessary
  • Repair or replace inoperative equipment, and test for proper operation
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance on the Systems
  • Perform walkthroughs and inspections
  • Generate service tickets outlining work performed
  • Monitor inventory of service parts
  • Strong sense of urgency and organizational skills when managing projects with the discipline of anticipating the labor and equipment needed to meet deadlines

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years alarm, or low voltage experience
  • Experience with Surveillance, Access, and Intrusion Systems
  • Experience working on networks and coordinating with company IT departments
  • Confident in reading and blueprints for device locations and wiring requirements
  • OSHA Certifications
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and work on your feet for long periods of time
  • Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and subject to background check
  • Strong communication, customer service and relationship skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds regularly, comfortable to climb ladders, operate lifts, sit, stand, bend, kneel, vision acuity and manual dexterity
  • Ability to work on-call on a rotational basis covering after hours & weekend emergency calls
