We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide wound care services in a home-care setting in the general Grand Rapids area

Schedule: This is a Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, salaried position with a 4/1 hybrid setting. Patient visits will take place four days per week, and one day per week will be reserved for patient charting. Patients residing in multiple counties. The current counties being serviced are Kent, Ottowa, Montcalm, Allegan, and Ionia.

Salary: $150,000.00.

Nurse Practitioner Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides patient care for patients who are recovering and are in a newly outpatient setting. Patient population will mainly consist of those needing wound care from burns, bed sores, etc.
  • Performing debriefings, wound-vac on wounds as large as 200cm.
  • Examine patients, review their medical history, and consult with care providers to decide on therapy or treatment to help patient manage their pain.
  • Prescribe medication and change dosage if necessary.

Nurse Practitioner Job Requirements:

  • Experience in wound care is required
  • Must hold a NP License that is active and unrestricted
  • BLS (AHA)
  • Athena EMR experience is preferred
  • WOC certification is preferred but not required
  • The right candidate will have 2-3 years of skin grafting experience.
  • Needs to understand the manufacturers products and be able to submit IVR and code correctly.
