Russell Tobin's client, an American athletic footwear and apparel corporation company is hiring for a Footwear Product Engineer in Beaverton, OR

We’re looking for a Footwear Product Engineer, passionate about athletic footwear that hits the highest performance and sustainable manufacturing standards. A successful candidate will be able to perform in a fast-paced matrixed organization within the product creation team.

Location: Beaverton, OR

Pay rate: $38- $44/hr, DOE

Responsibilities:

  • You will be a key member of the Product Creation team responsible to understand product to deliver to the athletes and business needs.
  • You will focus on projects to meet performance, cost and sustainable targets.
  • You will lead the project management of key footwear inititves within product creation and manufacturing teams.
  • Using critical thinking, analytical, innovative, and communication skills you will focus on problem solving from development through commercialization stages.
  • You will apply and promote Client Engineering best practices.
  • You will provide critical feedback on projects to ensure product quality, consistency, and manufacturability at scale.

Requirements:

  • Engineering or Technical Degree in a related field or minimum 2 years direct experience.
  • Minimum 2 years Consumer Product and/or Hardgoods manufacturing experience.
  • Understanding and skills in pattern engineering, tooling, manufacturing, and test methodologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, sketches and/or 3D digital files.
  • Proficient with MS Office, 2D/3D CAD/CAM
  • Capable of working hands-on with manufacturing machines.
  • Ability to travel internationally as needed up to 10%.
