We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced New Product Manager to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing new products and driving their successful launch into the market. This role requires a strong understanding of the product development process, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

The role revolves around developing and managing a product or a range of products within the company's portfolio.

Your primary responsibility is to drive the success of these products in the market by understanding consumer needs, market trends, and competition.

Here are some key responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the role of a Product Manager in the FMCG sector:

1. **Market Research and Analysis**: Conduct market research to understand consumer preferences, trends, and competition. Use this information to identify new product opportunities or areas for improvement in existing products.

2. **Product Development**: Work closely with cross-functional teams such as R&D, Marketing, Operations, and Sales to develop new products or improve existing ones. Define product features, specifications, and pricing strategies based on market insights.

3. **Product Launch and Go-to-Market Strategy**: Develop comprehensive launch plans for new products, including positioning, messaging, distribution channels, and promotional activities. Coordinate with various teams to ensure a successful product launch.

4. **Product Lifecycle Management**: Monitor the performance of products throughout their lifecycle. Analyze sales data, consumer feedback, and market trends to make data-driven decisions on product improvements, modifications, or discontinuations.

5. **Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Collaborate with various internal teams such as Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure alignment on product strategies, goals, and priorities.

6. **Pricing and Profitability Management**: Determine optimal pricing strategies for products based on market dynamics, cost structures, and competitive landscape. Monitor product profitability and make pricing adjustments as needed.

7. **Brand Management**: Ensure that the product aligns with the overall brand strategy and messaging. Work closely with the Marketing team to develop branding and communication strategies that resonate with target consumers.

8. **Quality Control and Compliance**: Ensure that products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Work with relevant teams to address any quality issues or compliance concerns.

9. **Forecasting and Inventory Management**: Collaborate with Supply Chain and Operations teams to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and optimize product availability in the market.

10. **Continuous Improvement**: Continuously seek feedback from consumers, sales teams, and other stakeholders to identify areas for improvement in products or processes. Implement changes to drive product performance and customer satisfaction.

Overall, the role of a Product Manager in the FMCG industry is dynamic and requires a mix of strategic thinking, analytical skills, market knowledge, and cross-functional collaboration to drive the success of products in a competitive market environment.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Proven experience in product development, preferably in the SaaS industry.

- Strong understanding of product development methodologies, including agile and IT governance.

- Experience with product management tools and processes.

- Proficiency in analyzing market trends and customer needs.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Experience with user acceptance testing and feedback gathering.

- Knowledge of AWS and version control systems such as VersionOne.

- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive product decisions.

- Strong organizational and project management skills.
