POSITION DESCRIPTION         Senior Accountant

  I.    RESPONSIBILITIES

     1.  Responsible for financial policies, procedures and operations.

     2.  Prepares all required internal and external accounting, and budgetary reports, including:

          a.)  regular and specialized financial reports, forecasts and trends.

           b.)  annual budget applications for local funding sources and grants

     3.  Handles General Ledger functions (accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll).  Ensures accuracy

          and security of records.

     4.  Supports business operations and staff, including claims processing, bookkeeping, data management

          and related support or technical staff.

    5.  Handles facility operations, equipment service contracts, vendor contracts and so forth.  Secures

          technical assistance to resolve problems.

REQUIREMENTS

1.         Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required, Master’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.  

 2.      Three to five years of related accounting experience preferably in a healthcare or human service setting.

 3.      Familiarity with health insurance reimbursement a plus.  

 4.      Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft and major accounting and payroll software.

 5.     Excellent oral and written communication skills.
