Comfort Inn & Suites Sanford Sports Complex is currently seeking a dedicated and service-oriented Breakfast Attendant to join our team at our newly established hotel facility.

Experience/Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferably, at least one (1) year of related experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Medium lifting - occasionally exerting up to 50 pounds of force, and/or frequently or constantly exerting up to 20 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
  • Ability to stand throughout entire shift.
  • Available for morning and weekend shifts.

General Requirements:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, allowing for attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented interactions with all employees and guests.
  • Ability to actively listen, understand, and address concerns raised by management and guests.
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills to meet departmental deadlines.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service oriented manner.
  • Maintain regular attendance, as required by the hotel's scheduling needs.
  • Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the appropriate uniform and nametag.
  • Comply with Company and Choice Hotel Standards to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Display problem-solving skills, including the ability to anticipate, prevent, identify, and resolve issues as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Fundamental Requirements:

  • Set up and arrange breakfast buffet stations with food, beverages, utensils, and condiments in an organized and appealing manner.
  • Ensure buffet tables are properly stocked, attractive, and replenished throughout the breakfast service.
  • Regularly check food temperatures, ensuring food safety and quality standards are maintained.
  • Monitor and control inventory of breakfast supplies and inform management when additional items are needed.
  • Welcome guests to the breakfast area, provide a friendly and professional greeting, and assist with seating if necessary.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest inquiries and requests, providing accurate information about breakfast offerings, special dietary considerations, and allergens.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the breakfast area, including tables, chairs, buffet counters, and beverage stations.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and disposal procedures.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on hotel policies, procedures, and new menu items.
  • Report any maintenance or equipment issues to the appropriate department for timely resolution.

Safety and Security:

  • Adhere to Company safety and security policies and procedures, as well as comply with OSHA and other applicable state and local regulations.
  • Report and properly store lost-and-found items in accordance with Company and Choice Hotel policies and procedures.
