A Room Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring that guest accommodations are kept clean, organized, and inviting. This position involves daily servicing of guest rooms in line with hotel standards, which includes restocking supplies, changing bed linens, and replenishing amenities while adhering to safety and security protocols.

In certain situations, this role may also entail performing thorough cleaning tasks within guest rooms alongside preventative maintenance duties.

High School diploma or equivalent preferred, along with experience in hospitality or a related field.


This role demands a keen eye for detail and the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members, both verbally and in writing.

Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.

Must be able to assess and choose among various courses of action quickly and accurately.

Must thrive in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities:
Approach all interactions with guests and colleagues in a warm, service-oriented manner.


Maintain consistent attendance in accordance with hotel standards as required by scheduling, which may vary based on hotel needs.


Uphold high standards of personal grooming and appearance, including wearing the appropriate uniform and name tag while on duty (per brand standards).

Adhere to hotel standards and regulations at all times to promote safe and efficient operations.

Thoroughly clean and restock the designated number of guest rooms each shift.

Complete all pre-cleaning tasks, including but not limited to preparing the housekeeping cart with guest supplies, cleaning products, and linens.

Remove all waste and soiled linens from guest rooms.

Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

May need to disassemble furniture or items in the guest room to conduct deep cleaning.


Deep cleaning tasks may include, but are not limited to, changing air conditioning filters, cleaning AC coils, touching up paint on walls and moldings, and addressing scratched furniture.
