Core Responsibilities
- Perform assembly and testing on products to ensure performance standards/specifications are met.
- Perform delicate bonding of optical components using alignment fixtures.
- Assembly optical components and mechanical assemblies
- Complete work orders in an efficient manner and report delays/quality problems to Lead Test Engineer or manager.
- Ability to follow Work Instructions, and work under the guidance of Manager and Senior Technicians
- Use hand tools, fixtures, and precision measuring instruments to build and test products while ensuring specifications are met.
- Test the performance of electro-mechanical assemblies using instrumentation.
- Focus on Quality and strive for zero defects in every aspect of the role while maintaining a quality level greater than 99.5%.
- Monitors Quality and escalates problems impacting quality to Manager
- Adhere to production test protocols and perform computerized record keeping.
- Utilize automated test processes and fixtures.
- Maintain shop organization and cleanliness.
- Complies fully with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Working closely with the department Manager and LDLS team, train to fully build and test all products within the scope of this position
Additional Responsibilities For Advancement
- Provides maintenance, troubleshooting, and some repair of all mechanical equipment use in the manufacture of the product.
- Performs first-level troubleshooting with guidance from Technical Lead.
- Working closely with the department Manager and Technical Lead, train to fully build and test all products within the scope of this position as detailed on the Energetiq training Matrix.
- Demonstrate proficiency in building and testing the LDLS products on the training Matrix.
- Advanced understanding and ability to follow Work Instructions, and diagrams to determine the method and sequence of assembly of a part, machine, or piece of equipment.
- Have a proven history of building products free of defects and without error.

- Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in English
- Two years of directly related assembly and test experience during which significant mechanical and electrical knowledge was gained.
- Two years experience in a low volume, highly technical manufacturing environment.
- Experience with clean rooms, optics, analog and digital electronics, electrical power distribution, and computers.
- Able to quickly understand the technical complexities of manufacturing.
- Experience with lasers, laser optics, optics, optical metrology.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access (forms).
