Position Summary:

The Senior Business Development Consultant is pivotal in understanding project statuses, identifying issues, and recognizing potential opportunities. This role involves detailed client interaction to ascertain business requirements and challenges, leading to the creation and presentation of tailored proposals.

 

Responsibilities:

- Act as the primary liaison between the company and clients, maintaining and enhancing long-term relationships.

- Communicate project updates and client needs effectively to the supervisory team.

- Analyze client IT systems and infrastructure to diagnose problems and inefficiencies.

- Develop timelines for project completions and oversee the implementation phases.

- Collaborate with internal development teams, client IT departments, and external vendors to align technology solutions with business objectives.

- Craft and deliver project proposals, ensuring alignment with client needs and business goals.

- Guarantee the successful delivery of solutions, enhancing client satisfaction and service excellence.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

- Proven expertise in communication, consultation, ethical practice, multitasking, attention to detail, and relationship management.

- Background in business analysis, systems solutions, and deployment of business requirements is essential.

- Experience with documentation including various requirements and design specifications.

- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies and cloud/web-based systems design.

- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

- Strong organizational and time management skills with the capability to manage multiple priorities.

- Proven track record in initiating and developing IT system solutions in various sectors such as retail, wholesale, manufacturing, or chemistry.

- Analytical skills to identify customer needs and challenges effectively.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

 

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

- This is primarily an office-based role with standard Monday to Friday working hours, with occasional evening and weekend requirements.

- Regular travel to client sites is necessary, approximately once or twice a month.

- Physical activities include talking, hearing, and visual tasks. May require handling files, opening filing cabinets, and occasional bending or standing.

 

Education and Experience:

- Minimum of 7 years of experience in implementing technical solutions.

- A BA/BS degree in analytics, informatics, computer science, or business, or equivalent experience is preferred.

- Bilingual proficiency in Japanese and English is required.
