A large, successful and growing Dallas restaurant management group is seeking a Supply Chain Director. This is a crucial role in shaping and executing the logistics strategy for Procurement and Distribution. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire logistics function, and providing strategic leadership to ensure the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of our supply chain. This position requires additional expertise in 3PL and distribution center operations, a keen understanding of strategic planning, and the ability to optimize supply chain processes.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Relevant college and work experience required
  • Supply Chain knowledge and experience required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Logistics Strategy: Develop and execute strategic initiatives to optimize the logistics network, focusing on efficiency and reducing transportation costs in the markets we service
  • RFP Management: Lead the end-to-end management of the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, collaborating with cross-functional teams and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Cost Management: Analyze logistics costs, identify opportunities for cost reduction, and implement strategies to improve
  • Carrier Relations: Manage relationships with transportation partners, negotiating favorable terms, optimizing routes, and ensuring a high level of service.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee and inspire a high-performing logistics team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Technology Integration: Evaluate and implement logistics technology solutions to improve visibility, traceability, and overall supply chain efficiency.
  • Performance Analytics: Develop logistics metrics, analysis tools, and KPI’s to measure business performance

Additional Tasks:

  • Manage route margin worksheet weekly
  • Audit all invoices from 3PL
  • Source backhauls for all routes with deadhead miles
  • Manage fuel program
  • Review and audit backhaul revenue

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively establish and maintain relationships
  • Must be able to plan and schedule accordingly to ensure all deadlines are met
  • Must demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and monitoring of own work to ensure quality
  • Highly motivated, responsible, strong initiative and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to recognize trends and react with a sense of urgency when needed
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access

Salary

$110K - $130k based on experience
