On behalf of our client, we are seeking a dedicated and results-driven Sales Representative to join their team. This role is critical for driving sales growth, managing key accounts, and expanding the company’s market presence, particularly within luxury yachts, commercial maritime operations, and specialized marine environments.

The success of this role hinges on the Sales Representative’s ability to engage deeply with the marine industry, particularly within the superyacht vertical, where our client has established a strong reputation. This engagement includes not only sales and account management but also active participation in industry trade shows and networking events. These activities are essential for building relationships, staying informed on market trends, and generating high-quality leads that align with the client’s growth strategy.

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Support:
    • Provide ongoing support to current dealers and customers through on-site visits, telephone, and email communication to strengthen and grow customer/vendor relationships. Offer training at dealer sites for new dealer staff. Maintaining these relationships is essential for the client’s reputation and long-term success.
  2. Account Management:
    • Manage key accounts such as West Marine and other large retail customers, ensuring that all orders are processed promptly and efficiently. Participation in vendor events to promote the client’s products is crucial for maintaining visibility and reinforcing brand value among these major accounts.
  3. Market Expansion:
    • Collaborate with the management team and the Director of Sales to increase dealer and OEM market presence. This role directly supports the client’s strategic growth objectives, especially following their recent expansion fueled by private equity investment.
  4. Event Coordination:
    • Coordinate the client’s exhibits at selected boat shows in the U.S. and EU markets. Work closely with the Director of Sales to ensure proper booth set-up and staff scheduling. Effective coordination at these events is critical for maximizing the client’s impact and generating new leads.
  5. Industry Engagement:
    • Attend marine industry networking events, boat shows, and boat owner rendezvous as required to represent the client’s brand and products. Active participation in these events is key for maintaining the client’s leadership position in the marine sector, particularly in the superyacht market.

Background & Skills Required:

  1. Sales & Product Management:
    • Demonstrated experience in sales and product management, with the ability to prioritize job requirements effectively. This is critical for managing the client’s specialized product offerings and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  2. Sales Administration:
    • Experience in sales administration, including order processing, quality control, and customer service, is essential for maintaining the client’s high operational standards.
  3. Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software is required. Prior experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is preferred, with the ability to learn quickly if necessary.
  4. Multitasking Ability:
    • The capability to move between tasks efficiently and set priorities in a dynamic environment is crucial, especially given the client’s ambitious growth targets.
  5. Communication Skills:
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with English as the primary language. Bilingual skills (Spanish) are a plus, given the client’s diverse customer base.
