Service Technician/Mechanic

Howmac Incorporated is a locally owned and operated business that is looking for a motivated and self-starting Service Technician/Mechanic to join our team. As a Service Technician you will be working on a variety of construction equipment, primarily Aerial Work Platforms, including but not limited to: scissor lifts, boom lifts, telehandlers, and forklifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and perform general maintenance to a variety of construction equipment, primarily on Aerial Work Platforms.
  • Areas of focus may include mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Complete written work orders of services performed.
  • Utilize systems to look up needed parts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Ability to perform physical labor including lifting up to 70 lbs.
  • Daily work would be primarily performed in the company shop with occasional road service conducted out of a parts-stocked Service Truck.
  • Must adhere to safety policies and standards.

Skills:

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics.
  • Must have strong communication skills and exhibit professionalism to fellow employees as well as customers.
  • Must provide own tools.
  • Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods of time.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Aerial Lift equipment preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Must pass a background check and drug test.
