This individual will support the entire accounting team. This position is highly visible and requires a strong leader with the ability to prioritize, plan, and complete assigned tasks.
 

Career Responsibilities

  • Ownership of in-house processing of weekly multi state payroll
  • Ownership of all payroll related tax forms and payments, including federal, state, local, municipality, FUTA, SUTA, and school district.
  • Process payments for all garnishments, child support, HSA, 401K, etc.
  • Complete Certified Payrolls; Process Prevailing Wage, and Davis Bacon Payroll.
  • Run and distribute weekly management payroll related reports.
  • Reconcile Payroll General Ledger Accounts
  • Answer Employee Payroll Questions
  • Respond to all payroll-related notices received.
  • 5500 and external CPA audit support
  • Maintain Payroll SOP documents.
  • Archive weekly payroll documents.
  • Process, Post, and Archive daily cash deposits.
  • Support Accounting – AP Invoice Processing, Sales/Use Tax, etc.

Required Education/Knowledge/Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Prior in-house payroll experience required.
  • Experience with Certified Payrolls, Davis Bacon, and Prevailing Wage Payroll
  • Vista software experience, preferred.
  • Attention to detail and data entry skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to complete tasks with little direction.
  • Must be able to remain calm under pressure and interact with internal and external customers in a professional manner
