Well come and join our team at United Federal Home Care We are a companion service made up of professional caregivers who are kind, proactive, and trustworthy. Our in-home care ranges from hourly respite care to overnight companion care, around-the-clock dementia care, and other 24-hour care options depending on the clients individual needs. Based in Connecticut, we have opportunities in Middletown, Glastonbury, Manchester, Groton, Wethersfield, the surrounding counties of Fairfield, Hartford, Middlesex, New Haven, New London, Tolland, and more to come

​Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to join our team. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing essential care and support to individuals in need. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others through personalized assistance and companionship.

Duties & Responsibilities:

-Provide personalized personal care assistance to individuals, including bathing, grooming, and dressing

- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and well-being of each individual - Support individuals with meal preparation, feeding, and adherence to dietary requirements - Aid in medication management by ensuring correct dosage and timely administration

- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and organized living environment - Engage individuals in meaningful activities and provide companionship

- Monitor and document any changes in the individual's condition or needs, reporting to the appropriate supervisor

-Other Duties as assigned (based on client needs)

Requirements:

-Compassionate and caring nature with a genuine desire to help others

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently

- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

- Patience and empathy when assisting individuals with physical or cognitive limitations - Capacity to maintain confidentiality and respect individual privacy

Note: Prior experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
