Job DescriptionJob Description

Responsibility

• Responsible for operation and maintenance of high pressure boilers and gas turbine operations on assigned shift.
• Document all operations during assigned shift.
• Perform preventative maintenance and annual maintenance on utility systems.
• Responsible for operation and maintenance of all related physical plant equipment on assigned sift including: chillers, air compressors, water pumping systems, fuel supply/heating systems, water pre-treatment systems, etc.
• Troubleshoot equipment operating problems to maintain continuous operations.
• Start/stop equipment to meet load demands, departmental requirements.
• Operate and maintain WFI, PFW, and Distilled Water Systems per SOPs, cGMPs, and user department requirements.
• Make “rounds” to monitor/start/stop equipment on a routine basis.
• Responsible for assigned shift operation and monitoring of Utility Operations Computer Systems: Maintenance Management, Energy Management, Process Control, SPF Utility Systems, SCADA, etc.
• Responsible for “Assigned Area” equipment evaluation, maintenance review, repair approvals, and housekeeping.
• Use appropriate hand and power tools to fit and install all types of pipes or similar tubing products: cut or drill holes in walls for passage of pipes.
• Identify failure cause according to “failure codes” within the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
• Perform Lockout/Tag out on facilities and production equipment.
• Respond to site emergencies, power outages, and conducts restoration efforts.
• Perform equipment inspections, systems documentation and prepare drawing “red-line” corrections.
• Work in accordance with established SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and site cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) as per CFR 21.
• All work to be document by work order in the site Computerized Maintenance Management System (SAP).
• Follow federal state, and local codes.
• Assist in creating job plans, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and MOPs (Methods of Procedure).
• Ability and willingness to work rotational shift, if necessary, including days, evenings and nights as well as overtime, weekends and holidays as required.
• Assist commissioning and startup of new equipment.
• Assist with the training of other employees as directed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education
• High School Graduate (or equivalent) required.

Experience
• 2 Years of related experience in a manufacturing plant maintenance shop or AS Technical Degree/Certification with 1 year related experience
• General trades’ knowledge: i.e. construction, electrical, machine shop, etc.
• Course work (or equivalent experience) in general & specific areas of electro-mechanical disciplines
