Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Crane Maintenance Technician to join our team at American Equipment HR LLC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, and modernizations on electric overhead traveling cranes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on cranes, including lubrication, inspection, and repair of mechanical and electrical components.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions and breakdowns.
  • Consult with customers on repair and safety-related issues, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Generate sales leads during service calls, identifying opportunities for new equipment sales and upgrades.
  • Accurately document all work performed on service reports, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Install, assemble, and start-up new cranes, ensuring proper operation and safety.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company safety protocols and procedures.
  • Travel may be required, with a company-provided work vehicle available for use.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of AC/DC theory and ability to troubleshoot 480VAC 3-phase motor control systems.
  • A minimum of 2-year hands-on electro-mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Aptitude for both electrical and mechanical environments, with familiarity with mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Willingness to work overtime, with a valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with good driving record.
  • Must pass drug-screen and background check.
  • Strong communication skills, with proven commitment to safety.
  • Comfort with working at heights, with experience in Variable Frequency drives and PLC programming a plus.
  • Crane maintenance experience a plus.
