Statistics show that if you have experience in any of these fields you may be well suited to be an automotive sales representative: Server or server, food server, bartender, customer service, service writer, electronic or appliance sales, cell phone or computer sales, retail clothing or shoe sales, finance director, real estate, insurance sales, or equipment sales.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect/network for new clients
  • Make your customers feel welcome and identify purpose of visit
  • Maintain customer satisfaction scores at or above regional standards
  • Follow up with existing customers to confirm their satisfaction and generate leads
  • Have proper knowledge of products, market trends, and certifications
  • Prepare and review monthly sales goals individually and as a team
  • Complete all aspects of the ‘road to the sale’
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications or Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
  • 6 months or more of marketing or sales experience
  • Professional appearance and strong communication skills
  • Strong record of positive customer service results and skills
  • Team oriented
