We are currently seeking a reliable and responsible individual to join our team as a Golf Cart Service and Rental Driver.
Job Overview:
As a Golf Cart Service and Rental Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our business by picking up and delivering golf carts for service and repair, as well as carrying out our daily rental schedule. This position requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, time management and a customer-focused mindset. This role is a minimum of 30 hours per week during high season. It can be 40 hours a week if you are willing to do other miscellaneous work. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday (subject to change seasonally).
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport golf carts to and from customer locations for service, repair, and rental delivery.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of golf carts to asses and notate any issues and post-trip inspections of golf carts to ensure they are in proper working condition.
- Load and unload golf carts onto trailers or trucks using proper equipment and techniques.
- Follow established routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery and pick-up of golf carts.
- Pick-up, inspect, clean, and deliver rental carts according to rental schedule.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers professionally, answering questions, and addressing any concerns they may have if applicable.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles and equipment, including performing routine maintenance tasks as needed.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to ensure the safety of yourself, passengers, and other road users.
- Communicate effectively with rental/service coordinator and service staff to effectively take care of our customers and complete daily schedule.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience driving trucks or trailers preferred.
- Ability to safely operate and maneuver golf carts and trailers in various weather and road conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions accurately.
- Ability to use an iPad to communicate with customers and enter information to our system about pick-ups and deliveries.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills and ability to communicate directly with customers when needed.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 60 pounds) with assistance and push golf carts, etc.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Mechanical aptitude for on-site repair/service is a plus.
- Familiarity with the Panama City Beach area is a plus.
