Summary: WindRiver operates several different businesses including, but not limited to, real estate, club membership, hospitality, dining, events, golf, and marina management. As Assistant Golf Professional, you will work closely with the Director of Golf to assist the management of the daily golf operations. Your main responsibility is providing professional services to ensure an exceptional golf experience.


Responsibilities:

  • Meet and greet all customers in a warm, friendly, and professional manner in accordance with WindRiver policies and procedures
  • Provide oversight of the operation in the absence of the Director of Golf
  • Supervise and manage the Golf and Beverage Cart Attendants
  • Schedule and train golf shop personnel and Cart Attendants
  • Manage the total golf operations in an efficient manner
  • Provide excellent guest services, advice, and assistance to all guests
  • Make rounds around the course to check on golfers and monitor pace of play
  • Ensure check-in and fee collection for each Member or Guest
  • Provide golf instruction and clinics that are consistent with instructional methods, policies and procedures
  • Assist in the merchandising of the Pro Shop to include buying, pricing, and inventory maintenance
  • Follow up on proper opening and closing routines for all golf operations
  • Maintain supply inventory, tracking and reporting when additional supplies are needed
  • Manage tournaments as directed by the Director of Golf
  • Assist golf shop personnel in the tournament setup of carts and golf range
  • Keep informed on and promote all WindRiver club activities and services
  • Adhere to WindRiver's regularly updated COVID-19 response bulletin
  • Perform other duties as required by the business

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma preferred
  • Having completed or working towards completing all requirements for PGA Membership
  • Must be at least 18 years old

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to perform a wide variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work several tasks simultaneously and maintain composure when dealing with stressful situations
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Demonstrated positive interpersonal and communication skills with staff and customers
  • Team player
  • Positive attitude, professional manner, and appearance in all situations

Physical Requirements: Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, twist, kneel, lift, push, and pull items weighing up to 50lbs. Must be able to stand and continuously move for up to 8 hours at a time.
