We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Coding Specialist (HCC) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately assigning diagnostic and procedural codes to patient records. Coder is accountable to manage day to day activities of coding/reviewing the Patients chart & Diagnosis report. The Coding Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring proper reimbursement, data quality, and compliance with regulations.

# Job Description

  • Coding, reviewing or auditing charts based on the requirements.
  • Review and analyze patient health records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Updating/Clearing the production/pending reports.
  • Work closely with a team leader to resolve coding issues and discrepancies.
  • Review emails for any updates. Identify the issue and escalate to the immediate supervisor.
  • Meet the productivity targets of clients within the stipulated time (Daily & Monthly).
  • Applying the instructions/updates received from the client during production.
  • Should maintain 97% quality.
  • Prepare and Maintain reports.
  • Understand the client requirements and specifications of the project.
  • Strict adherence to the company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure confidentiality of patient information and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

# Qualifications

  • Life Science Graduates with Active AAPC or AHIMA credential.
  • Sound knowledge of HCC Medical Coding concepts.
  • Should have 2 to 3 years of Coding Experience.
  • Good knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology and Medical Terminology.
  • Excellent knowledge of ICD and CPT codes.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS-Office.
