Job Title: Surface Prep Technician

Location: Fountain, Colorado

Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)

Pay: $18-21/hr

Job Description:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Surface Prep Technician to join our team at a leading plastic manufacturer in Fountain, Colorado. As a Surface Prep Technician, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting, ensuring they are clean, smooth, and ready for coating.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean, sand, and prepare surfaces to be painted or coated.
  • Apply masking tape and protective coverings to surfaces not being painted.
  • Inspect surfaces for defects and imperfections, and perform necessary repairs.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in surface preparation or a similar role.
  • Knowledge of various surface prep techniques and materials.
  • Ability to work with hand tools and power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks.
