Job Description:

We are seeking a part-time* contractor to perform cybersecurity testing, including white and black box penetration testing, to support regulatory submissions of an electromechanical device. Responsibilities include defining and implementing cybersecurity test strategies aligned with FDA guidance, conducting vulnerability assessments, performing static code analysis, assisting with SBOM creation, and generating test reports.

*This role will start by ensuring test strategy is defined and implemented – then the role will evolve to providing on-demand test services when needed to support ongoing product development activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to track and manage development milestones
  • 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity test definition and implementation
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices for safety-critical systems, particularly medical devices
  • Experience in ethical hacking for system-level cybersecurity assessments
  • Cybersecurity certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+)
  • Occasional travel may be required for remote candidates for testing purposes

Desired Qualifications:

  • Additional cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CEH)
  • Experience with cybersecurity testing for medical devices in line with FDA guidance
