Sr. Cost Accountant | $90k - $105k + Bonus | Hybrid

The Senior Cost Accountant holds responsibility for drafting consolidated financial statements and various accounting reports, ensuring accuracy in journal entries and accounting classifications.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drafts monthly journal entries, consolidation entries, and conducts month-end analyses.
  • Prepares necessary exhibits and commentary for reports distributed to management, external Directors, and government entities.
  • Manages the typing, proofreading, issuance, and filing of reports.
  • Analyzes distribution and storage costs, offering insights for improvement.
  • Evaluates and suggests enhancements to accounting procedures and systems.
  • Conducts reconciliation and analysis of intercompany activities.
  • Provides guidance to other accounting staff.
  • Participates in special projects, year-end activities, and related duties.
  • Prepares inventory reconciliations.

Experience:

  • Holds a college degree in accounting or related.
  • Possesses 3+ years of accounting experience; CPA certification is preferred.
  • Demonstrates ability to comprehend and execute detailed instructions.
  • Capable of working efficiently while meeting deadlines.
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal, communication, and administrative skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows environment and possesses excellent knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
  • Familiarity with SAP systems is advantageous.
