Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a Event Venue Coordinator to join our team This position will manage activities related to the venue on behalf of the venue itself. You will be responsible for ensuring the venue is clean and in good working order, while ensuring the event is running smoothly. Our venue mainly hosts weddings for up to 315 people, but also hosts corporate and other smaller events.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as an on-site venue representative on the day of an event
  • Fields all facility-based questions
  • Works to ensure the venue is set up and maintained in accordance with client’s wishes and Aurora Meadows standards
  • Setting up tables, chairs, and other equipment
  • Ensuring the venue is clean and well-maintained
  • Coordinating vendors delivering and setting up equipment including directing them to their place on the floor plan 
  • Assist with directing guests to the ceremony location, cocktail hour location, and reception location 
  • During cocktail hour, assist with room flip (if needed)
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience in events, service industry or other related fields
  • Strong communications skills
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Strong project managing skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work well in teams
